One of Bristol’s strengths is the huge amount of energy and innovation that comes from local community groups and grassroots organisations.
To support this, Bristol Green Capital Partnership community interest company (BGCP) is investing £45,000 in local ideas and projects that will contribute to making Bristol a sustainable city with a high quality of life for all.
If you are a community group, charity, social enterprise or small business based in Bristol, and your idea matches the Better Bristol criteria, you will be eligible to receive free coaching for your crowdfunding campaign and have a chance of receiving 50% of your target from BGCP.
We’re looking for projects that have a crowdfunding target of between £6,000 and £8,000, that will launch on 1 June 2017. Projects that reach 50% of their target (with at least 40 backers) will be helped over the line with a 50% match-fund provided by BGCP – until the £40,000 runs out.
Remaining projects will receive ongoing promotion to help them to raise funds from the crowd, with one of these projects receiving a grant of £5,000 – awarded to a project that demonstrates an exceptional commitment to inclusion and equality in their aims.
Complete the form by following the link below before midday on Tuesday 25 April
If your project matches the criteria, we’ll be in touch with further details and an invitation to attend one of our workshops in Bristol. Provisional dates and times for these workshops are as follows, so please save one of the dates in your diary:
At this stage, we just want to find out about your idea and how it fits with the Better Bristol criteria. Don’t worry about being word perfect or having a definite crowdfunding target in mind – once through to the next stage you will have until 1 June to develop your idea and plan your crowdfunding campaign with expert training and advice from the coaching academy at Crowdfunder UK.
We will get back to you on either 27th April via e-mail to confirm your eligibility for the Better Bristol match-fund campaign, as well as providing further information on how to confirm your attendance at one of our workshops.
